Blog 3: The Wind That Shakes The Barley Review

Personally, I loved the movie, because I really like historical novels. In addition, he did not know the history of Irish independence and the subsequent civil war that they lived.

However, it was difficult to understand the film because it was subtitled in English, and not in Spanish. Even so I think I can understand it in a general way.

My favorite character is the protagonist, Damien. Because he embodies the reality hit that means to understand that one country is dominating another. In other way, it shows the most human and agonized face of a revolutionary man. Additionally, the actor has great skill interpreting Damien and he is very handsome.

What I liked about the movie was that they used a lot of contemplative scenes that showed the Irish territory, with beautiful green landscapes. However, I think the film was too extensive.

I wouldn’t say if it is their where my favorites scenes, but what most affected me in the movie were the scenes of torture. It affected me the most when they extracted the nails and they did a bloody haircut to Sinead.

In conclusion, I think it´s a very good movie and that more people should see it.
